Nine persons, including three foreigners and four local girls arrested
The Hush Post: A sex racket being run under the garb of a spa has been busted from the posh Sarabha Nagar locality in Ludhiana. The racket was being run in the guise of a spa centre under the name Lazuli Parlour.
Nine people were arrested in this case, three of them are foreign nationals, residents of Thailand. Four of the arrested persons include local girls.
The arrested included seven girls and two men. The arrested have been identified as MD, Kalu of West Bengal, Ajit Kumar of Bihar living in a house on Pakhowal Road, a girl from SBS Nagar, three girls from Pakhowal Road, and three residents of Thailand.
Speaking on the issue, ADCP Crime Rattan Singh Brar, ACP Crime Surinder Mohan, CIA incharge Prem Singh and SHO Sarabha Nagar Sumit Sood said that the entire racket was being by a Delhi based man in the garb of running a spa in the city.
The Police Commissioner R N Dhoke added that owner of the spa, Manish Sharma, had called many girls from Thailand for running his sex –spa racket. The owner of the parlour is still at large and raids would soon be conducted at his place in Delhi to arrest him. The police officials said that the owner of parlour use to pay money to women per month for flesh trade and charge approximately Rs five thousand per customer for one hour.
Police said these foreigners were visiting India on visitor visa and were renewing their visa to stay here. A case under section 3 and 4 of the Immoral Trafficking Act was registered at Sarabha Nagar police station.
Earlier on Tuesday, the police in Gurugram had busted a flesh trade racket with the arrest of nine people, including six women. This flesh trade or sex racket too was being run in the guise of a spa centre at a prestigious mall in Gurugram district of Haryana in the National Capital Region (NCR).
The racket was busted with the police getting a secret tip-off about the illegal activity in the guise of a spa centre at the Omaxe Mall of Sector 50 of Gurugram.
