WhatsApp is all set to come up with a host of new features for its users. The company rolled out the much-awaited dark mode feature on Android and iOS both.
However, now the Facebook-owned messaging app is set to release some very important features that would prevent frequently forwarded images from downloading. It will also introduce the Advanced Search feature.
As per WABetainfo, WhatsApp is resetting the auto-download rule under which no frequently forwarded images, videos, documents and voice messages will be automatically downloaded on the app.
However, the users currently have the option to keep the auto-download on for certain media content. Once the new update is rolled out, things will not remain the same. The feature once implemented would reduce your data usage.
The other most talked about feature that WAbetainfo reported is the Advanced Search feature which is available for WhatsApp 2.20.117 Android beta version.
This feature enables users to search for any kind of media seamlessly.
You can search for any kind of images, videos, etc and even GIFs on WhatsApp using the Advanced Search feature. The feature is currently being developed. Now the chances are that you would not find it in your WhatsApp, even if you have the latest version of the Android beta.
