The Hush Post: The eight Thai women detained by Odisha police for operating a high-profile sex racket in a spa centre in Bhubaneswar on May 20 left Odisha today after being served a notice to “quit India” by the police.
This is not the first time this kind of a notice has been issued, a similar notice was issued to three Thai women last year too and they were asked to leave the country for their involvement in a sex racket running at a spa in Kharvel Nagar at Bhubaneshwar. The move is a warning for those operating similar illegal activities in the state, the police said.
The notice was issued as the women, by getting engaged in flesh trade, had violated the visa rules. While some of them had tourist visa, a few had business visa, according to a news report. The special squad of the Commissionerate Police had busted a similar prostitution racket at Gajapati Nagar recently and rescued three girls. Three men were taken into police custody.
