While broadcasting the event live, PTV accidentally spelt Beijing as Begging.
The Hush Post: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan faced major embarrassment when the state-run Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) broadcast his live speech from Beijing, incorrectly spelling the name of the Chinese capital as ‘Begging’.
Imran Khan was on Sunday addressing a ceremony at the Central Party School (of the Communist Party of China) in Beijing. While broadcasting the event live, PTV accidentally spelt Beijing as Begging.
The gaffe remained onscreen for a good 20 seconds before being rectified.

Imran Khan’s is in China to secure financial support for the country reeling under deep financial crisis.
The goof-up by PTV left the social media in splits. Some called the act “disgraceful” while others lauded PTV for becoming “drastically independent”.
PTV later apologised on the social media terming the incident as a “typographical error” and “regrettable”.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan government has initiated action against five of its staff for the “blunder”. Two employees have been taken off work, reported agencies.
