The Hush Post: A self-styled ‘baba’ from Jalandhar district in Punjab has been arrested from the Delhi International Airport. A Zirakpur resident had filed a complaint in May this year that the accused Bajinder Singh had sexually assaulted her and even recorded a video of the same.
“We had received a complaint of rape from the woman in May this year. The accused was on the run since then. We had got a look-out notice issued against him. We nabbed him when he was leaving for England,” said Pawan Kumar, SHO, Zirakpur said.
Bajinder Singh, pastor of a church in Punjab’s Jalandhar district, was caught from the Delhi airport when he was about to board a flight to London to be part of an event to be held there on July 21. He was popular among people of the area as ‘healer baba’.
The woman had also told the police that the baba used to threaten her that if she would lodge a complaint against him or did not agree to his demands, he would post her video on social media.
