Nawaz Sharif on the verge of kidney failure: Reports

The Hush Post: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is on the verge of a kidney failure, as per reports. The medical department has demanded that he should be immediately transferred to a hospital from Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.

Reports appearing in The Express Tribune suggest that the presence of urea nitrogen in Nawaz Sharif’s blood has reached dangerous levels. His heartbeat is fluctuating. He has been sweating excessively and suffering from dehydration due to humid condition inside the prison.

The hospital in jail does not have a facility to provide intravenous fluid to Sharif. It is necessary to admit him to a hospital, and if he is not admitted, it could result in an emergency, Express News reported.

A medical board had reportedly examined Sharif inside the jail on Sunday.

“Sharif has been medically examined on a regular basis in Adiala jail and his medical tests appeared to be normal.”

On July 6, Nawaz Sharif and his daughter were arrested in a corruption case. Sharif was handed ten years in jail and fined eight million pounds. Maryam was sentenced to eight years in jail and fined two million pounds.

Also, Maryam’s husband, Captain (Retd) Muhammad Safdar was handed a one-year sentence without fine. Both were taken to Islamabad by a special chartered flight soon after their arrival at Lahore Airport on July 13, from where they were taken to Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.
