Several posters have come up in Moradabad district of UP requesting businessman Robert Vadra to contest elections from the constituency. The posters are directly inviting Priyanka Gandhi’s husband to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“Robert Vadra Ji, you are welcome to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Moradabad.”, read the posters. As it is written on the posters, Moradabad’s youth wing of Congress has made the request to Vadra. However, the Congress party leaders have completely denied it. According to them, there isn’t any report of Vadra contesting the elections and the posters have come up as a part of political conspiracy.

Member of All India Congress Committee, Rizwan Qureshi said, “The posters have been put up in Moradabad as a part of conspiracy.”

“We have not received any information from party that Robert Vadra will contest the elections from Moradabad. We will completely support the candidate who will get the ticket from party. Anti-Congress people have put these posters.”, said Rajesh Pal, member of Congress Youth wing.

It is quite interesting that the posters came up a day after Vadra gave a hint of him coming into politics in a Facebook post. His Facebook post read, “The years n months that I spent campaigning n working in different parts of the country, but mainly in UP, gave me a feeling to do more for the people n make smaller changes possible by me, in their areas n when they got to know me, the genuine love, affection n respect I earned was humbling.  All these years of experience and learning cannot be just wasted and should be put to better use…once all these accusations and allegations are over, I feel I should dedicate a larger role in serving the people.”
