BJP MP from Bhopal Sadhvi Pragya made another controversy saying that the Opposition is apparently using a “marak Shakti” to harm the BJP leaders. She said that these powers were used in the recent deaths of former Union Ministers Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley.
While addressing a condolence meeting at BJP’s state office, she reportedly said, “Once a Maharaj ji told me that bad times are upon us, and the Opposition is up to something using ‘marak shakti’ against BJP. I later forgot what he said but now when I see our top leaders leaving us one by one, I am forced to think, wasn’t maharaj ji right?”

She was referring to the deaths of two senior BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley, who died on August 6 and August 24 respectively.
It is to be noted that a number of top BJP leaders have passed away in recent months. Former Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parikar died on March 17 this year, whereas former minister of Parliamentary Affairs Anant Singh died on November 12 last year. Also, former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away on December 16, 2018.
Sadhvi Pragya has been courting controversy for long. She once called Nathu Ram Godse, the assassinator of Mahatma Gandhi, a patriot. Before that, she had said that Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare was killed in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks because of her “curse”.
