The Hush Post: Adampur airport in Jalandhar will start flights May 1 onwards.
The Spice jet would start the booking of flights from coming April 14. It is in keeping with the commitment of Punjab government to air connect the state under Udaan Regional Connectivity Service (RCS) of GOI.
Varinder Kumar Sharma, the DC of Jalandhar and Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, Senior Superintendent of Police visited the airport today to oversee the arrangements. The visitor and VIP lounge was ready along with the high powered X-ray machines.
The Spice Jet Company had started setting up its equipment at the airport since the booking of tickets begins on April 14, the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar. The civil work on the airport has been finished and the decks have been cleared for starting the flights.
The airport will provide connectivity to the people of the region with the rest of the country and later the globe.
