10-month-old baby found near Amritsar rail tracks, no trace of parents

The baby had suffered minor injuries and is presently undergoing treatment at the Guru Nanak Hospital in Amritsar

 

The Hush Post: Amritsar police found a 10-month-old baby boy near the train tracks where 61 people were mowed down by a speeding train on Dussera evening.  The baby’s parents haven’t been located yet. The baby was recovered from the spot 4 hours after the incident.

The Amritsar police have sought information regarding the baby from the locals. People have been asked to call on 0183 2220205 and get in touch with them.

The baby had suffered minor injuries and is presently undergoing treatment at the Guru Nanak Hospital in Amritsar. The police plan to send the baby to an adoption centre if they are unable to trace the parents.

After the tragic incident, around 20 complaints regarding missing persons have been registered in police stations in and around Amritsar. People are frantically searching for their near and dear once from one hospital to another.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh had asked concerned officials to plan specific rehabilitation measures. He also directed to disburse the compensation amount to be provide at the earliest.
