Dreaded gangster Ankit Bhadu killed in police encounter

Dreaded gangster Ankit Bhadu has been shot down. Bhadu was killed during a police encounter in Peer Muchalla of Zirakpur in Mohali. Two of his accomplices were also injured in the operation which was carried out by the organized crime control unit of the Punjab police.

Ankit Bhadu was wanted in the states of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. The 23-year-old carried a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on him.  The bounty was announced by the Rajasthan DGP today itself.

The police had received information that 3 gangsters of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang were holed up at Mahalaxmi apartments in Peer Muchalla. The police had received information that 3 gangsters of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang were holed up at Mahalaxmi apartments in Peer Muchalla.

The area was cordoned off by Punjab police with Mohali SSP Kuldeep Singh Chahal himself present at the spot.  A team of the Ganganagar police in Rajasthan was also present on the location.

Media reports say that the gangster had held a girl hostage on gun-point. The girl has reportedly received bullet injuries on her ear.

Bhadu’s two accomplices-  Ginda Kaana and Jarman were injured in the encounter and have been arrested by the police. ASI Sukhwinder Singh of the Punjab police also received injuries during the operation.

Bhadu hailed from Sherewala village in Abohar district of Punjab.
