The Hush Post: Even after two weeks when a senior lawyer from Ferozepur Bhupinder Singh Brar (70) mysteriously went missing, there is no trace of him.
Advocate Brar had left his residence in the Ferozepur cantonment area on May 31 around 9.30 pm and did not return ever since. But, his car was found abandoned on the banks of Ferozepur feeder canal near the Moga road the next morning, Babushahi reported on Wednesday.
Even after two weeks, there is no trace about advocate Brar. The police have found his wallet from the car which did not contain money.
The investigations by the police to find him have remained inconclusive till now. It is doubted that Brar may have drowned in the canal but it could not be ascertained. Brar’s the family is clueless and is not able to provide any leads in this regard. In such a situation, the chances of rivalry leading to an accident or willful harm cannot be ruled out and hope of finding him alive fades, it was reported.
In the initial probe, it is said that Brar had purchased liquor from a local vend and then he went towards the twin canals near Ghal Khurd where Home Guard jawans spotted him. He then disappeared in no time.
SHO Ghall Khurd, under whose jurisdiction the area falls, said, “We are trying our best to locate the body. We contacted Brar’s family members on finding a dead body but that was not found to of advocate Brar.”
Meanwhile, SSP Ferozepur said that the search for the missing lawyer is still on and in the meantime, the police have floated a ‘Shorogoga’ notice to all the police stations with a photograph of advocate Bhupinder Singh Brar.
