Gangster Saraj Sandhu wanted in murder of Hindu leader Vipan Sharma arrested by Punjab Police

The Hush Post: In a major breakthrough, Punjab police has arrested gangster Saraj Singh Sandhu, alias Mintoo, wanted for the murder of Hindu leader Vipan Sharma and various other crimes. A special team led by AIG OCCU Harkamal Khakh, DSP RK Yadav, Sub-Inspectors Pritpal & Sukhjit, and ASI Sukhwinder executed the operation. Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh took to Twitter and congratulated the team, DGP Suresh Arora and DGP (Intelligence) Dinkar Gupta.

Vipan Sharma was shot dead in broad daylight in Bharat Nagar area of Amritsar on October 30 last year. Sandhu was clearly seen pumping seven bullets into Sharma in a CCTV footage. The police had booked Sandhu and three others for the murder.

Later, Saraj Singh Sandhu had confessed to killing Hindu Sangharsh Sena leader Vipan Sharma in a Facebook post.  In his post, Sandhu had even suggested that the ‘there was no religious angle to the murder’. “We avenged murder of my friend’s father, who was in Amritsar police”, he had claimed in the post.

Saraj Sandhu was wanted in over 15 cases of heinous crimes including murder, attempt to murder and robbery.
