Bollywood actor and MP from Gurdaspur seat of Punjab, Sunny Deol recently issued a notice which states that he appointed Gurpreet Singh Palheri as his representative in his parliamentary constituency.

The opposition is already baying for his blood. Deol defeated a Congress heavyweight Sunil Jakhar from Gurdaspur constituency and now it seems he will be seen less and less in the constituency. Immediately after the elections, Sunny Deol toured Himachal to get away from the heavily felt political heat. And now comes the appointment of Gurpreet Singh Palheri.

The notice read, “I hereby appoint Shri Gurpreet Singh Palheri son of Shri Surinder Singh R/o Village and Post office Palheri, District Mohali, Punjab as my representative to attend meetings and follow important matters pertaining to my parliamentary constituency, Gurdaspur (Punjab) with concerned authorities.”

It has been 38 days since Sunny Deol became the MP as the 2019 Lok Sabha election results were declared on May 23. The BJP leader defeated his nearest rival Congress candidate Sunil Jakhar with a margin of 82,459 votes and won the Gurdaspur seat.
