6-7 Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists may have entered Punjab, yesterday’s carjacking incident being linked to it

About six to seven Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists may have entered Punjab and could be on their way to Delhi. After the inputs from the counter-intelligence agencies, there is alert in Punjab. Also, the border with Pakistan is being manned with full alert.

Notably, a carjacking incident which took place in Madhopur in Pathankot yesterday is also being connected to this. After the alert in Punjab, even Delhi police is on high alert.

Yesterday, four persons snatched an SUV from its driver at gunpoint near Madhopur area in Pathankot. The accused had hired the vehicle from Jammu.
The incident took place on Tuesday night. The car driver stopped the vehicle near Madhopur after one of the passengers complained of vomiting, police said. “The occupants snatched the vehicle from the driver at gunpoint.
The suspects, who were speaking in Punjabi, had booked the car from the Jammu taxi stand.
The cab driver was identified as Raj Kumar, a resident of Jammu.
