One of the three Punjabi youths killed in an accident near Sarnia in Ontario has been identified as Tanveer Singh from Jalandhar. Tanveer was a resident of Bank Colony in Model Town Jalandhar and is a son of Laali Ghuman.
Ghuman owns a manufacturing unit which produced raw material for making shoes.
Tanveer had gone to Canada on a study visa and was returning from his job when the incident took place. All the three victims were in their early twenties. Among the dead was a 20-odd-year-old girl as well.
The other two were identified as Gurwinder Singh who belonged to Jalandharand Harpreet Kaur.
The accident took place on a lonely rural road south of Petrolia around 1.30 am on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. Strangely, the accident did not involve any other vehicle. The car was in such high speed that it kept overturning several times before it stopped. The vehicle was badly mangled. Injured driver was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Information received here suggested that all the three were students of the St. Clair College in Windsor. Police has asked eyewitnesses to come forward and let them know the details.
