A eight-yr-old girl was severely injured after her hair got caught in a go-kart ride at an amusement park. The incident took place at Joyland amusement park in Jalandhar cantonment area, Punjab.
The victim Anhadpreet Kaur’s scalp was ripped from her head. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where her condition was stated to be serious. The doctors had to apply 36 stitches to repair her scalp.
According to information, she was taking the ride along with her father Paramjit Singh.
However, CEO of Jalandhar Cantonment Board, Jyoti Kumar, said he was not aware of the incident.
Pardeep Aggarwal, the contractor who runs the amusement park, said he was not present on the spot at the time of the mishap. “I have been told that there were three persons in the vehicle (as opposed to the prescribed limit of one person at a time), which led to the accident. It is an unfortunate incident and I will inquire into it”.
Meanwhile, no written complaint was registered by the victim’s parents.
