Independence Day celebrated at A.S. Group of Institutions, Khanna

The Hush Post, Khanna: A. S. Group of Institutions, Khanna organized an event to commemorate the 71st anniversary of Indian Independence. By amalgamation of cultural and lyrical methods, rich tributes were paid to the freedom fighters who made the supreme sacrifice in the freedom struggle.

Director, Dr. Harpreet Singh persuaded the students to make India independent from discrete challenges and work for upholding its integrity. As the day dawned, the political fervor gripped the institution. The students: Prabhjot Kaur and Amarbir Singh discussed the contribution of the freedom fighters for the nation.

A declamation contest was held whereby students examined India’s journey through years and the increasing instances of brain drain. Arshdeep Kaur (B.Com (H)-I), Anshul Bansal (B.Com(P)-III) and Lovepreet Singh (MBA-I) were adjudged as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively. The function drew to a close with the recital of the national anthem. Students vowed to work for the national unity and prosperity.

Rajiv Rai Mehta (President), Sushil Kumar (Vice President), B.K. Batra (Gen. Sec.) and Naveen Thamman (Secretary) and other members of management also conveyed their best wishes on the occasion.
