Khanna Police arrest peddlers with illegal liquor, intoxicants and heroin in separate cases

The Hush Post, Khanna: The Khanna Police claimed to have seized illegal liquor, intoxicants, and heroin in different seizures.

Giving information, SSP Khanna Dhruv Dahiya said that in the first incident, the Khanna Police had set up a Naka near Pristine Mall Alour near Khanna. During Naka, the police party stopped a Swift Dzire car coming from Mandi Gobindgarh side. On searching, the police found 30 cartons of illegal liquor that was meant to be sold in Chandigarh only.

A case under the Excise Act was registered in this regard against the accused identified as Raj Kumar, a resident of Chandigarh.

SSP Dahiya said that in the second incident, a team of Khanna Police’s Narcotics Cell spotted two persons going on foot after coming out of a vehicle. When the police conducted a search on seeing their suspicious movement, 900 intoxicant capsules were seized from one Navjot Singh and 1272 intoxicant injections were recovered from Ravinder Singh. The accused were arrested after registering a case under the NDPS Act. Navjot Singh is a resident of Jalandhar and Ravinder Singh is a resident of Bhagwanpur near Jalandhar.

The SSP said that in another incident a police party arrested a person identified as Mandeep Singh, a resident of Kotkapura, and seized 10 gm heroin from him. A case under the NDPS Act was registered against the accused.

SSP Dahiya said that in another incident a police party from Doraha police station seized 50 cartons of illegal liquor from a car coming from Khanna side near Macnolds near Doraha. A case under the Excise Act was registered in this regard and the accused was identified as Atinderpal Singh, a resident of Banur.

In another case, a police party from Maloud police station at a Naka near Jagera Bridge seized 3 kg ganja and the accused was identified as Ram Arora, a resident of Haryana. A case under NDPS Act was registered in this regard against the accused.
