Khanna Police seize Rs 20 Lakh unaccounted cash from 2 car-borne men at naka

The Hush Post, Khanna: The Khanna Police claimed to have seized Rs 20 lakh unaccounted cash from two car-borne men at a naka in the town on Friday.

In a press release issued on Friday, Khanna SSP Dhruv Dahiya said that a police party led by Superintendent of Police (SP)(I) Jasvir Singh Cheema and DSP (I) Jagwinder Singh Cheema and Inspector Manjit Singh of Narcotics Cell had set up a naka near Pristine Mall and was checking the suspicious people on Friday.

The SSP said that this police party stopped a car that was coming from Mandi Gobindgarh side. There were two persons in this car. When searched, the police party found Rs 20 lakh unaccounted cash from the car-borne persons. When questioned, the car-borne persons could not give any satisfactory reply or any documentary proof. Then the police party called for an investigation team of the Income Tax Department and handed over the said amount and the car-borne two persons to the Income Tax officials for further action in this regard.
