The Hush Post: By arresting her paramour, the Machhiwara Police have solved the murder of a married woman from Amloh. The police had found the body of a 40-year-old woman Santosh Kaur of Himmatgarh Chhanna village under Amloh on Sunday.
The police claimed that woman’s paramour has confessed his crime. According to police, the accused suspected that the woman was ignoring him. He had a verbal duel with her over the issue and it ended up with the woman’s murder.
The police arrested a 25-year-old Amandeep Singh of Shatabgarh village from his village.
25-year-old accused suspected the 40-year-old married woman was ignoring him
Khanna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dhruv Dahiya announced Amandeep’s arrest. The SSP said that Amandeep Singh has confessed that he suspected that Santosh Kaur was ignoring her. On Monday, when she came to meet him, he took her to a tubewell room, where they consumed alcohol.
They indulged in a verbal spat. The things turned ugly when she pushed him away. In a fit of rage, he took a wooden log and hit her in the head repeatedly. She fell down. After she died he fled from the spot. To avoid suspicion of the police he did not try to escape.
SSP Dahiya added that as Amandeep Singh was prime suspect the police have arrested him for questioning. The accused has confessed his crime.
The police produced the accused before the court late on Monday. The court remanded the accused for two days in the custody of police for further questioning.
The police had found the woman murdered in a tubewell room in Shatabgarh village of Machhiwara. The cops had booked Amandeep Singh for murder on the complaint of Sakattar Singh, husband of the deceased.
The police have also recovered blood-stained wooden from the crime scene.
