The Hush Post: In a hard-to-believe incident, an 85-year-old man has been accused of raping a married woman who lives in his neighbourhood in a village in Ludhiana district.
The octogenarian man was booked by the police on Saturday for allegedly raping a 29-year-old woman who lives in his neighbourhood in a village in the Ludhiana district, Times of India reported.
According to the police, the victim woman has given a complaint to the police on the helpline number 181. The victim alleged that the octogenarian man raped her last month when she had gone to his house to get water in a bucket.
The investigating officer (IO) of the case sub-inspector (SI) Devinder Singh reportedly said the victim has four children and was expecting another child. “We are yet to record the statement of the complainant, as she was not at home when a police party reached there,” SI Devinder Singh was quoted as saying.
The police have lodged an FRI under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation is on in this regard.
