Ludhiana: Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organization popularly (FICO) organized a workshop cum awareness programme on ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) certification Scheme, at its office near Janta Nagar. The program was presided over by Paramjeet Singh, Zonal General Manager, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) along with Bharat Ahuja AGM of SBI
Giving more information, Gurmeet Kular, president of FICO said, “The basic objective of the programme was to create proper awareness amongst Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) about manufacturing as per ZED scheme and motivating them for assessment of their enterprises for ZED rating. Most of the quality management systems which are being used in India like Lean manufacturing, Kaizan etc are based on Japanese theory, but ZED is the first Indian model which has been introduced by our PM Narendra Modi. In next decade ZED certification is going to lead in India” Kular also added, “The participants were also made aware about the scheme and subsidies being run by MSME department for the industrialists and more than 50 businessmen of our association registered on the spot for ZED certification” Others present on the occasion included Manjinder Singh Sachdeva , Satnam Singh Makkar, Ashpreet Singh Sahni , Sohan Singh Goga , Amrik Singh Karamsar, CL Batra , D D Maheshwari , Sankalp and Sonu Kakkar.
