Fun filled Basant Utsav celebrated at Bal Bharati Public School, Ludhiana

Basant Utsav celebrations at Bal Bharati Public School, Ludhiana.

The Hush Post, Ludhiana: Bal Bharati Public School celebrated the onset of spring season with great vivacity and joy. The ingrained beauty of Basant Utsav was so strong that everybody was enlivened up in no time.The gala event was celebrated consecutively for two days.

Kite Flying Competition was organized on the first day. It was a glorious sight to see the multi coloured kites flying in the sky as teachers and students were cheering up the kite flyers. The enthusiasm of the participants knew no bounds when the kite lovers let their kites loose in the open blue sky. The crystal clear blue February sky was enlivened by kites of different colours and hues.

The competition was adjudged in many categories like Best Kite Flyer, Grand Champion, Sky Explorer, Highest Kite, Unique Kite, Giant Kite, Kitewitha Message etc. The winners of the Kite Flying Competition were Grace Chawla, Harminder Singh (Grandfather of Avnoor Kaur), Tejveer, IshaanJaiswal, Saksham Gupta, SakshamVij, Gurdit Singh, Pavitveer Singh, Joydep, Kartik, and Aatish.

On the second day, pleasantly bedecked campus vibrated with zest and zeal on the beat of dhol.  The air was filled with happiness and nostalgia as multihued balloons flying freely in the vast indigo sky marked the inauguration of the Fete. Principal Punam Dogra, warmly welcomed the audience for being a part of the event.                ‘

Dance and music are the essence of life. The students presented a visual treat through their dances in ‘Inter School Folk Dance Competition’. The spectators thoroughly enjoyed themselves and cheered and clapped with full gusto. ‘Singing Fiesta’ turned out to be the most cherished spot for people of all age groups. The singing stars conveyed their feelings of love and affection through lovely messages and dedicated songs of their choice to near and dear ones.

The ‘Painting Competition’ saw an amazing display of the imagination of young artists. The competition offered students (2 to 13 years) an opportunity to create outstanding paintings which sparked a great interest in arts. Learning to cook with simple recipes equips a child with skills that they will use and benefit from for the rest of their lives. As part of this endeavour, aHealthy Recipe contest was held.

Magnificent mothers and dashing dads swaggered the ramp along with their children in Mum ‘n’ Meand Dad ‘n’ Dude Ramp Walk CompetitionThey left the audience spell bound with their confident style and poise and were adjudged by experts on the basis of synchronization of the attire, gait and confidence.The cute tiny-tots, wearing pretty clothes captivated all present during the ‘Healthy Baby Contest’. School Child Psychologists in association with expert team of Homoeocare conducted the check-up of the babies and unanimously declared the winners.
