The Hush Post: Ludhiana’s Tarush Goyal has topped from Ludhiana in the JEE IIT Advanced entrance exams conducted by the CBSE.
Tarush got All India Rank 16. He got 306 marks. He is followed by Sushant Sondhi. Sushant got 269 marks and stands at number 119 in the merit list.
Palashdeep Singh got 235 marks and is ranked 476th. Sehaj Aggarwal got 229 marks and is ranked 573. Nikhil Patani has got 208 marks and is ranked 1,158. Rohit Makkad got 182 marks and is ranked 2,551.
Those who crack the JEE Mains Advance will fill seats in 23 IITs, 31 NITs and 23 IIIT and another 23 government funded or aided engineering colleges.
The students can choose to fill the forms for the colleges of their choice depending upon their ranks between June 15 and 25.
Tarush has also participated in International Maths Olympiad. A student of BCM Arya Model School, Tarush scored 96.4 per cent marks in Class XII while he scored 97.8 per cent marks in Class X. A football fan and a swimming enthusiast winds up his studies in the daytime itself. Sushant, a student of Ryan International Jamalpur, who stood second from the city, had scored 97.4 per cent in Class XII exams.
Palashdeep, who was ranked 1,184 in JEE Mains wasn’t sure of such a high rank in JEE Advance but with a little push, he got ranked as high as 235. Palash scored 94.8 per cent marks in Class XII.
