Jagraon youth shot dead in Abbotsford, Canada


The Hush Post : A Jagraon youth, 20-year-old Gagandeep Singh Dhaliwal was shot dead by unidentified persons in Abbotsford city near Greater Vancouver, Canada on Saturday night.

The incident took place around 9 pm when Gagandeep and his two relatives were in his car garage. The unidentified man arrived there and started firing indiscriminately. Two bullets hit Gagandeep and he died on the spot. Gagandeep is survived by his parents and a younger sister.

His 15-year-old cousin also received bullet injuries in the leg. He  was rushed to a local hospital by family members. He is said to be out of danger.

The victim’s father, Gurcharan Singh Dhaliwal, is a former president of the Khalsa Diwan Society, Abbotsford. The family, which hails from Agwar Lopon village in Jagraon, had moved to Canada several years ago.
