Senior journalist Rajesh Bhambi is no more. He breathed his last today morning at Deep hospital. Ludhiana-based Bhambi was suffering from kidney ailment for some time. Yesterday he was admitted due to a spine dis-ease.
Bhambi began his career with Reuters after studying at News Network. He had worked as a photo-journalist from Punjab for India Today, a photo-journalist at Ludhiana for The Tribune and as a journalist covering Punjab for the Hindustan Times.
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh condoled his death. The Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Raveen Thukral also extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family of Bhambi. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
Bhambi will be cremated once his son arrives from Canada.
Describing Bhambi’s death as a personal loss, Thukral remembered him as a warm and wonderful human being, and a great professional. In Bhambi’s demise, he had lost a personal friend, whom he had known for many years, said Thukral, extending his deepest condolences to the family.
