The Hush Post, Ludhiana: Missing since Saturday a 5-year- old was found murdered in the wee hours on Sunday. The killers stuffed the boy’s body in a gunny bag after killing him. Then, they threw it in front of his house in Amarjit Colony on Jagirpur Road.
Tibba Road police reached the spot and initiated investigation. The police have registered a case of kidnapping and murder against unidentified accused. The cops suspect kidnapping and murder of the child due to an old rivalry.
The deceased was Ansh Kannojia. He was the lone brother of two sisters. The police have sent the body to the Civil Hospital for a post-mortem.
Dinesh Kannojia, father of the deceased said that Ansh was playing outside the home on Saturday. He went missing around 12 noon. After he did not return home they started searching him but to no avail.
Dinesh said that they searched for him in the colony, but to no avail. Following which they filed a missing complaint with the Tibba Road police.
He said that on Sunday his daughter noticed a gunny bag at their door. When they opened the door they were shocked to see the dead body of Ansh in it.
Tibba Road SHO Inspector Mohammad Jamil said that the killers removed all clothes of the boy before killing him. Prima facie it appears that the killers strangulated the boy to death.
The SHO added that Dinesh is a labourer and his financial condition is not very sound. So, the kidnappers would not kidnap the child for ransom. The police are suspecting an old rivalry behind the kidnapping and killing.
The police are scanning CCTVs installed in the area to identify the accused.
