The Hush Post, Ludhiana: The Ludhiana District Bar Cricket Association is organising the Lawyers Cricket League Championship 2018.

During the first day of cricket league, DBA Nawanshahar defeated Anandpur Sahib by 84 runs, DBA Moga defeated Patti by 7 wickets, DBA Amritsar defeated DBA Mukatsar as Amritsar scored 128 runs against Mukatsar, and in other matches Malerkotla defeated Ropar and Jalandhar defeated Khanna.

Former Secretary DBA Chetan Verma said that aim to organise cricket championship of lawyers from Punjab and Haryana states is an initiative toward to promote Sports for a healthy generation and to support drive against the drug-free society as drug menace has destroyed the young generation in the border states.

President of the Ludhiana District Bar Cricket Association, Ritesh Dhir and General Secretary Mandeep Madaan said that above this championship is being organised with the cooperation of former DBA President Vijay B Verma and former DBA Secretary Chetan Verma.

They further said that in the championship,  24 team of various Bar Associations of Punjab and Haryana will be participate and are Ludhiana-I, Jalandhar-I Moga, Patti, Jalandhar-II, Ferozpur, Ropar, Chandigarh, Malerkotla, Ludhiaba-II,  Faridkot, Kapurthala, Yamuna Nagar, Mukatsar, Sangrur, Khanna, Amritsar, Samana, Patiala, Nawanshahar, Anandpur Sahib, Bathinda, Fatehgarh Sahib and Ambala teams.
