18-year-old Nihal Wadera from Ludhiana will represent the country in yet another international cricket tournament. He will be playing for India in the Youth Asia Cricket Cup which is to be played in Sri Lanka from September 3.
The young cricketer is currently working on his skills at National Cricket Academy, Bangalore under the guidance of Vikram Rathore and Rahul Dravid.
“It will be a moment of pride for me. I am very happy and excited to represent India on a global level,” said Nehal.
His family is also very happy with his achievement. His father Kamal Wadera said, “Nehal lives for the game. His determination, grit, and hard work has paved his way into the team.”
Nihal was selected for under 19 Indian cricket team last year. He has also played for the state in U-14, U-16, and U-19 categories.
