The Hush Post, Ludhiana: Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Ludhiana SK Goyal has issued summons to the Chandigarh SSP Nilambari Jagdale in an accident case in which the complaint has been filed against her. An accident took place on December 12, 2010 in which complainant Sukhdev Singh an employee of the Education department who was riding a scooter was hit by a gypsy allegedly driven by Nilambari Jagdale. Sukhdev fell on the road and received multiple injuries on the right side and on his foot. He was subsequently taken to the DMC hospital for treatment. However, no police complaint was registered against Jagdale. In fact, the complainant in a copy given to the court alleged that when he was in the hospital some policemen confronted him to not go ahead with the complaint or else he would be implicated in a false case. He still remained adamant. That is when the police is said to have allegedly registered a case. However, strangely a very ‘vague case’ was registered against Sukhdev on December 28, 2010 instead.
Sukhdev then sent a representation to the Commissioner of Police and the DGP following which also no action was taken. It was only after he went to High Court that Sukhdev was directed to file a complaint in the trial court. The eye witnesses, Gurmeet Singh and Gurnam Singh have also corroborated Sukhdev’s side of the story. The next date of hearing on which the Chandigarh SSP Nilambari Jagdale will have to appear in the court is on January 8.
