Ludhiana factory worker booked for raping accountant, taking her obscene photos

The Hush Post, Ludhiana: The Koomkalan Police in Ludhiana has booked a factory employee on the charges of raping a female accountant of the same factory.

A report in the Hindustan Times said that the factory employee allegedly raped the accountant of the factory after giving her sedative-laced lemonade. The accused also clicked obscene photos of the victim and then started blackmailing her. The victim said the accused raped her multiple times after it and when she objected the accused threatened to upload her obscene photos on social networking sites.

The victim further also alleged that the brother of the accused has also raped her by threatening her. The Koom Kalan police have registered a case against Lovedeep Singh Mundar of Subana village in Jalandhar, however, the police have not booked his brother yet.

The 26-year-old victim, a resident of the Chandigarh Road said that she works as an accountant in casting factory of her relative. The owner of the factory has gone abroad along with his family in July and asked her to take care of the home on July 19.

She added that on July 20, Lovedeep Singh, who came home after dropping owner and his family to the airport, offered lemonade to her. She lost consciousness after consuming the same. When she regained consciousness she found her on the bed without clothes. She alleged that taking advantage of her condition Lovedeep raped her and also clicked lewd pictures of her.

The accused started blackmailing her and raped her multiple times. She narrated the whole incident to the employer when he returned from abroad and also lodged a complaint against the accused.

Koomkalan SHO Inspector Harjinder Singh said that a case under sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC and sections 67 and 67-A of information technology act has been registered against the accused. The police have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused.
