The Hush Post: Some unidentified assailants fired at a businessman at his shop near Kalgidhar Gurdwara in Fieldganj, Ludhiana. The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Tarlochan Singh Chadha.

Sources say the assailants had come in a white Maruti Swift car.  It had a fake registration number plate.

The man who accompanied Tarlochan at the time of the mishap, Kamaldeep Kapoor said, the assailants barged into the shop, ” “Since they were all wearing masks, I suspected they were up to something and hid in another room. Then they fired at Tarlochan who sustained three bullet injuries, all on the lower portion of the body.”

After firing at the victim, the assailants walked out of the shop, lowered the shutter and fled the scene to ensure there was no melee.

The victim, who is a resident of BRS Nagar, Ludhiana was rushed to the CMC hospital immediately.

Shortly afterwards the crime, the police arrived on the scene. The police is scanning the CCTV footage. The Commissioner of Police is also on the spot.
