The Hush Post: The Gill flyover, Ludhiana has been opened from one side. The traffic resumed today in the afternoon from Dholewal chowk to the ISBT (bus stand).
The other side of the road will take another two weeks to open, it is said.
Abot a month ago, a part of the Gull flyover had collapsed and an inquiry report later stated that the rats had caused the collapse of the flyover. It has also been said in the report that no garbage should be allowed to collect near the flyover from now onwards to ensure that there is no birthing of rats in and around the Gill flyover.
The inquiry report also stated that there was no discrepancy in the construction of Gill flyover, as was earlier alleged by some politicians.
The retaining wall of Gill Road flyover (part of link road) collapsed on May 15. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
