Ludhiana to have another government college soon | Admissions to begin from August 1

Admissions for the 2018-19 academic session to start from Wednesday (August 1) on college website www.gcldheast.org

Classes will be held at a make-shift college campus to be set up at HL Community Centre, Jamalpur Colony, Phase 4 near HL Gurdwara Sahib on a temporary basis

The Hush Post, Ludhiana: In a good news for the city residents, a new Government College would be coming up in the city and the admissions for this new college would start from August 1, 2018, onwards. Once the admission process is completed, the classes would be held at HL Community Centre, Jamalpur Colony Phase 4, near HL Gurudwara Sahib on a temporary basis.

While providing further information, MLA Ludhiana (East) Sanjay Talwar stated that during the Vidhan Sabha elections, he had made this promise of setting up a new government college for the area residents. He informed that for the academic year 2018-19, the admissions would start from August 1, 2018, onwards for BA First Year on the college website, www.gcldheast.org.

MLA Sanjay Talwar informed that the classes would be held at HL Community Centre, Jamalpur Colony Phase 4, near HL Gurudwara Sahib on temporary basis. And very soon, the construction of the college building would be done on the piece of land allotted by Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) in Sector 39, Chandigarh Road (opposite Vardhman Mill). He stated that the tenders for the construction of new college building would be floated in August 2018 and the construction would start in October 2018.

MLA Ludhiana (East) further said that with the coming up of a government college in the area, a large number of students from the area would be benefitted, besides several people would also get employment.
