Pannu Pakorawala surrenders Rs 60 lakhs in IT raids

The Hush Post: In the IT survey on the shops of Panna Singh Pakorewala, famous amongst Ludhianvis as ‘Pannu Pakorewala’, the owner surrendered Rs 60 lakh to the IT department team on Thursday.

As per reports, there were complaints of suppression of income. The raids began with his shop on Gill Road. The other shop ‘Pakora Outlet’ in Model Town was the next stop of the I-T team.

An Income Tax official was stationed at the cash counter of the Model Town outlet to monitor sales on Thursday so that an average could be found out.

Panna Singh had started a small shop on Gill Road in 1952. With time, its name and fame grew with his paneer pakoras and dahi bhallas.

Two premises in Millerganj of Divyansh International, which sells dry fruits, were also raided for suppression of income.
