Sacrilege accused badly beaten up in Ludhiana jail; Bambiha group claims responsibility in FB post

The Hush Post: Facing charges of sacrilege of Holy Guru Granth Sahib, an inmate of Central Jail Ludhiana was badly beaten up with iron rods by two fellow inmates inside the jail premises. The victim inmate has sustained the fracture of both of legs and both of arms.

The victim, Jagjit Singh, has been admitted to the hospital with fractures. Jagjit Singh is facing charges of sacrilege of Holy Guru Granth Sahib.

Two fellow inmates of the Ludhaian jail reportedly beat up Jagjit Singh with iron rods. The attackers reportedly did so as they were angry over the sacrilege of the holy scriptures.

Later in a post on the social networking site Facebook, gangster Davinder Babiha group claimed the responsibility for the assault on Jagjit Singh. The gangster’s group said that they had done so as Jagjit Singh had done sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib in Visauri village under Nawanshahr district.

A report on News 18 TV channel said that Jagjit Singh had done sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib in the village gurdwara after the death of his mother. An FIR had been registered against him at Balachaur police station. Jagjit Singh is now facing the trial in the same case and has been lodged at Central Jail Ludhiana.
