Three brothers in Ludhiana commit suicide after huge loss in property deal

Three brothers hailing from Ludhiana allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves at their house in Isher Nagar colony after facing a huge loss in a property deal, the police said on Monday.

According to the reports by News 18, the deceased have been identified as Kuldeep Singh (40), Malkit Singh (38) and Davinder Singh Sunny (36).

Dehlon’s Station House Officer Malkit Kaur reportedly said that they used to live together with their family at a rented house in the area. An eight-page handwritten suicide note was found and two financiers are reportedly under the scanner.

The note suggests that the brothers were paid 12-13 lakh only for a plot of land worth more than Rs 1 crore. A case of abetment to suicide has been registered under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code.

The police said that further investigations in the case are underway.
