Navjot Singh Sidhu has resigned from the Punjab cabinet. He has sent his resignation to Rahul Gandhi.
He has not cited any reason. The date of the resignation is June 10, 2019. Strangely despite having submitted the resignation about a month ago there were no murmurs about it. Sidhu was not on good terms with his immediate boss Capt Amarinder Singh.
In fact, a lot of his cabinet colleagues also tried to bully him. While on the other hand, he had the blessings of the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi. He was also in his star campaign committee and campaigned through the country for the Congress.
On June 29, Ahmed Patel also had to intervene in the matter. He also came to Chandigarh to resolve the issue but couldn’t do much.
Sidhu was earlier, the local bodies minister and was made a power minister last month which did not go down well with Sidhu and he stopped going to office. Today the news of his resignation has come out.
