The Hush Post: The Central Government today approved the auction of 683 FM radio channels, spread over a total of 236 cities across the country.
In Punjab, 19 channels, spread over a total of 6 cities have been allocated by the Union Government.
Talking about the move, an official spokesperson of the Punjab Government revealed that out of the total of 19 FM channels, four have been reserved for Ludhiana, and 3 channels have been reserved for Abohar, Bathinda, Hoshiarpur, Moga and Pathankot each.
The allocation of these new FM channels would lead to an enhanced experience for radio listeners in the above cities, which have not been covered by private radio FM in the state.
