Punjab Roadways buses off roads| Employees on three-day strike

In the blistering heat, commuters were at the receiving end as employees of Punjab Roadways went on a three-day strike on Tuesday. They have given call for a three-day strike. The employees are demanding regularisation of their services and a salary hike.
Protestors did not allow buses of Punjab Roadways and Punbus to ply in several towns and cities.
The worst affected places were Ludhiana, Jalandhar,Bathinda, Amritsar, Patiala, Ferozepur and Moga.
Nearly 3,000 employees of both Punjab Roadways and Punbus were on strike.
Bus services on inter-state routes and within the state were also affected.
