Punjabi singer Balkar Sidhu’s Facebook account hacked, hacker demands Rs 1 lakh in ransom, threatens to post obscene videos

Balkar said that the hacker also provided his Paytm account for transferring the money

The Hush Post: In a strange case of extortion, an unidentified person has hacked the Facebook account of Punjabi singer Balkar Sidhu and has asked for a ransom of Rs One lakh rupees. The person has threatened to post vulgar videos and messages if his demands are not met.

Accroding to Bhaskar.com, Balkar Sidhu has filed a complaint with the State Cyber Cell in this regard. Alleging that the hacker has been calling him up frequently and threatening him,  Balkar expressed fears that the hacker might really go ahead and post some obscene videos or a wrong comment which may tarnish his image.  Balkar has around 10 lakh followers and viewers on Facebook.

Balkar said that the hacker has also provided his Paytm account for transferring the money. He has even claimed of transferring Rs 8400 into the account. The Cyber Cell has started investigating the matter. The phone number from which the hacker made calls has been traced to Gujarat.

Balkar Sidhu has given number of Punjabi hits including, apne vyah vich munda nachda firey, majhe di mombatiye and tu fulkari kad di.
