Eliza Bansal, a student of Dr Devraj DAV Public School in Sangrur’s Lehragaga scored a 100 percentile in the entrance test for admission to India’s top medical institution.
The Hush Post: Medical aspirants from Punjab and Haryana have stolen the show in this year’s AIIMS MBBS Entrance Examination. While Eliza Bansal from Lehragaga in Punjab’s Sangrur has emerged as the topper, Punjab’s Ramneek Kaur Mahal Rank has secured AIR 2. Meanwhile, Haryana’s Mehak Arora bagged the third position in the results which were declared today.
Nearly three lakh aspirants appeared for AIIMS MBBS 2018 across as many as 155 cities on May 26 and 27 for admission to 807 MBBS seats. The selected students will now be pursuing MBBS from nine AIIMS institutions (including AIIMS Guntur and AIIMS Nagpur).
Eliza Bansal, a student of Dr Devraj DAV Public School in Lehragaga scored a 100 percentile in the entrance test for admission to India’s top medical institution. She scored 100 percentile in biology, 99.94 in chemistry, 100 in physics and 97.87 in general knowledge. Her father is an Economics lecturer in a government school, whereas her mother is a librarian in a private college. Her elder brother is a student of IIT Delhi. She plans to become a cardiologist in the future.
AIR 2, Ramneek Kaur Mahal has her schooling done from Rose Mary Convent School in Punjab. He had secured AIR 10 in NEET 2018. Besides Eliza, Ramneet and Mehak, three other students Manraj Sra, Punjab; Sangeet Rathi, Haryana; and, Eishvauk Aggarwal, Haryana have made it to the top 10 by bagging AIR 7, AIR 10 and AIR 10 respectively.
