In a shocking incident, a man died soon after acting the death scene of King Dashrath, Lord Ram’s father. The incident has been reported from Jhunjhunu town in Rajashtan.
65-year-old Kundan Lal was playing King Dashrath’s character from Ramayana on stage during a Ramleela play on Tuesday. He played the scene Ramayana when Lord Ram departs for ‘vanwaas’ and unable to bear the pain of his son’s separation, King Dashrath passes away.
Ramleela Parishad Kankadeu Kala convenor Ravi Shastri told News 18, “Lal, a resident of Churu, was hale and hearty. He acted the scene beautifully but died suddenly after a few minutes”.
Kundan Lals’ body was taken to Churu where the last rites were performed on Wednesday.
What is even more shocking is that Lal’s brother had died in a similar fashion. He too had passed away a few years back playing the role of Dashrath on stage.
