The Hush Post: As many as 67 girls were found to be “hypnotised” when the police raided an ashram being run inside a hotel in Rajsamand district of Rajasthan.

According to an official of the Children Welfare Committee, the raid was conducted on Thursday and it led to the recovery of as a man as 67 “hypnotised” girls, a report said.

The captive girls were rescued by the cops from the ashram being run inside a hotel in the Rajsamand district. Though the girls were immediately taken for counselling, they were reluctant to answer any questions about themselves, it was reported.

“They don’t want to speak on any subject. They are neither asking for food nor are speaking the facts but instead screaming at us saying they have been here on their own wish and will,” a Children Welfare Committee official was quoted in the report.

The preliminary probe has revealed that the ashram does not have any registration. The cops are also still trying to find out the person who owns the place and also any information regarding the girls, the report said.

The rescued girls were later sent to the Balika Grah and are being provided counselling by the Children Welfare Committee officials with police personnel deputed outside the place, it was reported.

As per an agency report, the police have claimed that the girls may be connected to Prajapati Sanstha in Abu Road, a city of Rajasthan. The girls had reportedly come to the ashram to learn spirituality, the report said.

A man, who claimed to be the father of one of the rescued girls, stated that someone had hypnotised his daughter three years ago. She had also left their house and never came back. “She is now 14 and doesn’t want to return. He (father of that rescued girl) also doesn’t know who runs this ashram,” the Children Welfare Committee official was quoted as saying in the report.

Several reports indicated that the rescued girls may have been shifted from an ashram that belongs to rape-accused Daati Maharaj. But, the cops have said that they cannot confirm anything till the probe is complete, the report said.
