Minister Shambhu Singh Khatesar sees nothing wrong in it and terms it an “old-age-tradition”
The Hush Post: Another Rajasthan minister has brought shame to the BJP and PM Modi’s “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan”. A photo of a Rajasthan minister Shambhu Singh Khatesar urinating in open has gone viral on social media.
The viral photo shows minister Khatesar urinating in Ajmer, next to a BJP’s poster with CM Vasundhara Raje’s picture. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was to address the rally there. But, Minister Shambhu Singh Khatesar sees nothing wrong in it and terms it an “old-age-tradition,” a report said.
Khatesar has caused major embarrassment to the ruling BJP in Rajasthan. The viral photo shows him relieving himself near a poster featured Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. He also violated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan”.
But the minister denied that he urinated near the poster.
The minister said he did not flout PM’s mission objective. He said while “defecating in public may cause diseases, urinating in the open was not an issue.”
Khatesar said urinated in the open as there was no urinal nearby for kilometres at a stretch. And he had a busy morning due to an election rally.
Notably, there was not a single urinal is particularly egregious as right next to it was a venue for a BJP poll rally. And according to the minister himself, over 2.5 lakh people were in attendance at the rally.
In February this year too, another Rajasthan minister was seen urinating in open.
