The Hush Post: Actor Sanjay Dutt was in for a shocker when he got a call from the Mumbai Police. And no, not for anything you can think. But for the fact that a 62-year old fan of the actor had bequeathed all her valuables and property to him.
Nishi Harishchandra Tripathi, a resident of Malabar Hill, died on January 15 after a prolonged illness. It was only after her prayer meet that her family was informed about her will. Bank of Baroda’s Walkeshwar branch shared details of the latter she had left with them a couple of months before she died.
Sanjay Dutt, who was shooting for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 in Kolkata, was informed about the will of his fan by the Mumbai Police. Meanwhile Sanjay Dutt has also initiated proceedings to have the willed belongings be transferred back to Tripathi’s family.
Actor’s lawyer Subhash Jadhav has been quoted as saying: “We have communicated that Sanjay Dutt will be seeking no claim on the belongings and will adhere to any legal proceedings necessary to transfer the valuables back to the family.”
In her letter the deceased fan has mentioned “film-star Sanjay Dutt” as the nominee and his complete Pali Hill residence details have also been clearly mentioned. Reportedly Sanjay Dutt is very shocked at the incident. While stars are quite used to a star frenzy, this sure is a one of a kind episode!!
