Most of the languages in this world are based on Sanskrit. These include some of the Islamic languages, Mr Singh said.

Union Minister Pratap Chandra Sarangi spoke in Sanskrit on the bill. He said that Sanskrit is a flexible language and that in Sanskrit a single thought can be expressed in many ways in Sanskrit.

Sanskrit has given to the world many English words such as brother and cow.
