Journalist Rajat Sharma elected president Delhi Distt Cricket Asso

The Hush Post: Rajat Sharma is the new President of Delhi & District Cricket Association. He was elected as president on Monday after he got 54.40 per cent of the total votes which were polled.

Rajat Sharma is the renowned journalist who heads India TV is known for his programme Aap Ki Adalat.

The results to the DDCA elections, which took place between June 27 and June 30, were announced on Monday.

Rakesh Kumar Bansal was also elected as the Vice-President with 48.87 per cent votes in his favour.

“I thank all members of DDCA who voted in the elections and reposed their trust in us. I now invite all the members to join hands to bring about transparency in the functioning of DDCA,” Sharma wrote in a tweet after his victory.

Rajat Sharma is also the winner of the Padma Bhushan award.
