India beat South Africa in the 3rd Test as Shami picks up 5 wickets

Mohammad Shami sends de Villiers back.

The Hush Post: India won the scintillating third cricket Test match at Wanderers today by 64 runs. As the play started today, Proteas played some aggressive cricket and were 124 for one. Even at 144 for 3 they seemed comfortably headed home in their second innings and well on their way to win the Test and the series 3-0. But that’s when du Plessis fell and thereafter the next five wickets fell for just 16 runs. Earlier, Amla made a gritty half-century but it was Elgar, who was struck with a Bumrah bouncer yesterday and subsequently the play was called off, survived the innings till the end. Elgar was the last man at the crease batting with Ngidi who got out caught behind to a Shami delivery. Mohammad Shami took five wickets, Bumrah and Ishant shared two wickets each while one wicket went to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Chasing India’s 241 runs, SA were bowled out for 177 in their second innings.
